Hawaii and Alaska are both known for their natural beauty and variety of activities, which is why we combined them into this epic trip! It’s for people that can’t choose between the United States’ two most stunning states.
The first half of the trip is on beautiful Oahu in Hawaii. Volunteer and get hands on experience with sea turtles, learn to surf, eat delicious local foods at an authentic luau, visit Pearl Harbor, rush down mountains on a zipline tour, explore lush mountains and valleys of Oahu, and more.
During the second half of the trip, we explore Alaska. Alaska’s high placement on the globe means it has the most extreme sunrises and sunsets. In fact, it barely sets when we’re there. While in the land of the midnight sun, we work with Habitat for Humanity, learn to ice climb, hike and camp in Denali National Park, ride in bush planes, explore glaciers, and get face to face with wildlife.
Community service is an essential component along the way. While we explore these two breath-taking states we want to give back so we leave every location better than we found it. Community service days include helping protect sea turtles with the non-profit Malama na Honu, helping Waimea Valley Eco-Reserve restore native forests, and building homes with Habitat for Humanity. We’re also proud to announce a new service opportunity with the Hawaii Marine Mammal Alliance. Participants will be helping restore a population of endangered seal, the Hawaiian monk seal.
